Who we are
Korea Sorted is an English-language website at koreasorted.com. We publish practical, dated guides for preparing a trip to South Korea. A small independent team based in South Korea runs the site.

Information we collect
We may collect information that you choose to send by email. This can include your email address, name if you provide it, the contents of your message, attachments, and information you include about a guide or correction. We use this information to read and respond to messages, investigate corrections, and keep a record of relevant changes.
The site runs on WordPress with a hosting provider. The provider processes technical data needed to deliver and secure the site. This may include an IP address, browser and device details, requested pages, dates and times, referring information, and security or error data. We do not use this information to identify you personally unless it is needed for security, troubleshooting, or another stated site purpose.
The site may use cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small files stored by your browser. WordPress, our hosting systems, or advertising services may use cookies for functions such as security, site operation, remembering settings, measuring use, or serving ads. Some cookies may be session cookies that expire when you close your browser. Others may remain for a period set by the site or the relevant provider.
We do not accept comments at launch, so we do not collect comment submissions.
Advertising and cookies
We plan to show advertising through Google AdSense. We do not currently use affiliate links. If we add affiliate links later, we will label them on the page where they appear.
When ads run on this site, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, although disabling cookies may affect some site features or advertising choices.
How long we keep information
We keep email messages and related reply history for as long as needed to read and respond to the message, investigate a correction, maintain a useful record of a published correction, or protect the site. We do not set one fixed period for every message. When the information is no longer needed, we delete it or remove identifying details where practical.
Our hosting provider and security systems may retain technical logs for as long as reasonably needed to deliver, troubleshoot, monitor, and secure the site. The exact period may depend on the provider’s systems and policies. Cookie retention varies by the cookie, browser, and service. Advertising and analytics providers may keep information under their own policies.
Your choices and requests
You can choose not to send us an email. You can manage cookies through your browser controls. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
You may email hello@koreasorted.com to ask what email information we hold about you or to ask us to delete it. Please send the request from the relevant email address when possible and describe the messages involved. We may need to ask for information to confirm which messages belong to you. We will review the request and explain if information must be kept for security, correction records, or another stated purpose.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children under 13 to send personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us at hello@koreasorted.com.
Links to other sites
Our guides may link to websites, apps, booking services, government pages, carriers, or other organizations. Those sites have their own privacy practices and terms. We are not responsible for how another site collects or uses information. Review its policy before sending information or using its services.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site, advertising, analytics, hosting, or our information practices change. We will change the effective date at the top when we publish an update. Please check this page before relying on an older version.
